challenge1: perturbation experiments
Hi,
Just to be sure, when selecting an mRNA knockdown perturbation experiment it results on 5-fold increase in mRNA degradation, ONLY for the specified gene, right? And similarly for Increase in RBS (i.e. double rbs_strength of the specified gene only).
If I'm right, then what does the "wildtype gene" option mean after selecting mRNA knockdown or RBS increase?
Thank you,
Zeina

Hi Zeina Both for mRNA
Hi Zeina
Both for mRNA degradation and changing the RBS, only the specified gene is directly affected.
The wildtype option is a default option that is useful ONLY when you perform measurements without modifying (i.e the cells.
For example: You might want the High-resolution mRNA expression data or more fluorescent data on p1 and p2.
Hope this clarifies
